I've used Adequan (and Ichon - SAME exact thing but basically a "generic" and cheaper, I use it off label but also know what I'm doing, same great results, can get it off Chewy for cheaper than what most vets can when they're running their 30% off promo). Legend a day before the show, helps keep them comfortable being stalled all weekend and I can tell a difference in them. I won't use Summit - no reason to when Adequan is proven to work and it's the same price. Side note - MoveX is the same thing but 25mg "stronger". Summit is 100mg and MoveX is 125mg.

Summit actually has a deal going on where you can join for $49. I'm starting my marw on it as soon as it comes in.

I ride mostly younger horses.  I have not ever used Legend, it isfor  lubrication and short acting dosed for weekend use mostly and expensive for what my needs are which is usually preventive.  I have used Adequan on a really nice futurity/derby mare I had.  She bled the summer of her 6 year old year and it was first thing I changed due to its small risk factor of bleeding.  I then went to feed throughs MSM and then GLC.  My problems is I feed very little and when they are turned out I only use equipride tubs.  I was introduced to Summit last January.  I have a navicular mare I had problems keeping happy on os phos and coffin joint injections for very long.  I used it on her first thinking it would help make her injections last longer,  I had so much sucess in her that she has been maintained strictly on the Summit and MSM.  I have everything I own on the Summit, yearlings up to my broodmares.  It removes inflammation from all over, not just in their joints.  I feel it is an amazing preventative for all ages for many things, gut issues, joint issues etc.  If anyone would like my specific sucess stories feel free to message me  I am more then willing to answer questions.

How does summit help gut issues?  It is a joint supplement.  I also saw where someone claimed it cures bleeding. I tried it and my horse had a reaction to it.  Never really noticed a difference.  It was being used as a preventative/maintenance. Are you a rep?

I used to use just polyglycan until 18 mos ago when my vet had me switch my oldee mare ti pentosan.

HUGE difference. I know that Summitt is awfully popular at present or seems to be, but I won't be changing what works. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, amirite?

I have not used any of the others mentioned.

it removes inflammation from all over the body not just in joints.  as far as bleeders it will help with lung inflammation.

It is better to use something that is for gut issues.  It is not going to help Ulcers or as one rep said colic. As far as bleeding it’s not going to heal the lungs or keep a horse from bleeding.  To imply it does is not good business when it has not been proved.  If you have documentation where it has been researched I would like  to see it.  Not just a rep saying it does.  By actual professional like a lab.  Can you supply that documentation?  Butte also decreases inflammation but it is not reccomended for ulcers.

I haven't logged on or posted in years, but I have been doing some research on choosing a supplement and wanted to see what the peeps of BHW were saying.  I came across this thread and thought I would chime in.

I used Summit last fall with a lot of success.  No, I do not sell it.  No, I will not sell it.  I really don't care for MLM's and generally avoid them at all costs.  Having said that I decided to purchase Summit after discussing my mare's issues with a very good friend (who I trust) that sells Summit.
The change that I saw in mare was amazing.  The back story is she foundered a few years ago and even though she has made an almost complete recovery, it's still a constant battle keeping her sound.  Or as sound as she can be.  I have great vets and a great shoer that have kept her going.
I also use ice, Magic Cushion, Soft Rides, Back On Track, Previcox. The whole gammet.

Not only did her pattern runs improve, but she also got faster. 5D to the 3D in some big, tough races. (before foundering she would be in the 2D) . One of the best things was I was finally able to take her off the Previcox, something I have been wanting to do for quite some time.

Summit was a waste of money on my two.  They are now on Previcox and are doing much better.
