pinx05 - 2015-04-07 9:14 AM kwanatha - 2015-04-07 7:31 AM I would have rather had the device to tell you how fast your kid is driving your car. Â Ditto. I'm gonna put a tracker in his shoes when he gets old enough to start sneaking around lol. "Mom! How do you always crash everyone's party?! You didn't even know I was with Jimmy, I told you I was spending the night with Johnny." lol
I'm also going to plant cactus under every window in the house lol just kidding. Did you know Fords have a my key feature. That allow you to set speaker volumes, vehicles max speed, and driveable times. You set one key as the master, the other as the 'limited key' .. all fords have it. Always thought that was awesome for parents, all teenagers should have limited speed on their cars!Â
yep it's really neat, and they can't change the settings unless you give them the administrator key. Everything from belt reminder, top speed, screened radio content and volume, and some other cool stuff...

I think it's awesome. If every car company did this, it could save a ton of lives. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure on sync my ride you can 'locate' your car if you have the navigation setting on it. Large piece of mind for the parents that have some kids that make poor choices and have you worried sick.

arion - 2015-04-07 9:49 AM This actually makes me laugh. There are already several software packages out there that do exactly as this person is suggesting - for all types of endpoints (laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.). Not to mention that a good firewall will do the same. The problem with any of them is as follows: The software is only as good as the monkeys in a room entering the URLs and there is no conceivable way to keep up with them all. It's like malware - we identify over 200,000 new pieces of malicious code every single day just at our company and we still don't even touch the surface - identifying applications or websites of this nature follows the same philosophy. You can also look at this from the concept of simple text messages - there are softwares to allow you to watch someone's texts .... but by the time you are all set to watch them, they've downloaded another new software giving them a fake number and off the go. SOFTWARE DOES NOT CHANGE A PERSON'S BEHAVIOR OR CHANGE STUPIDITY. One also has to remember that as sad as it may sound, porn finances the IT industry and helped build it. They spend millions in developing their technology and websites thus making it difficult for the preventative products to keep up. I personally wouldn't be jumping on to any new technology like this. If I thought I had a personal problem and needed to protect some, I would invest in one of the existing companies that do it - after all, it's only going to take one time to "bust the kid" or "bust the spouse" you're after and the relationship goes down hill from there. I appreciate your response. However there are apps and programs out there that that claim to be complete but have holes and I intend to plug them.
Dougie, we need to change your BHW name from Douglas J Gordon to "Plugger Doug".

Hahahaha! My 4th grader is smarter than your grandpa. So far, he has busted parentkit, guided access, and apple restrictions. The other times were for playing apps when his time limit was done, or watching minecraft vids. Now he has nothing to figure out because it's gone.

| As for me it is one of the most necessary software nowadays! Especially for families with children. I have tried a lot of different variants of such programs. I liked this one http://www.refog.com/ most of all - very convenient and reliable. | |

Who would be interested in having an affordable technology to protect their families from Porn, escorts, offensive adult content?
The adult websites and porno business are a multi billions of dollars a year industry. Yet there is very little help in preventing families from being protected.
There are soft wares and apps that block some adult content, but lack in other areas to help protect families from the destroying harms of pornography, ect.
Help stop/prevent young boys and girls before they get addicted to porn. Help stop/prevent access for husbands/wives from viewing porn and other adult sites that would destroy a marriage.
soft ware and phone apps to safe guard families. A deluxe version of such software and apps for smart phone
Block adult sites Block porn Block escort sites Take a picture of the site trying to be visited Take a picture of the searched topic Warning to the person searching Take a picture of the person searching Send an email to a concerned person Send a text to a concerned person Password to prevent unistall apps and software Notification if other browers are being used No trace app, so the app doesn't show up on phone Blocks forbidden website categories Ect.............
Do you feel it helpful that other family members are notified of viewing habits on the smart phones or computers?
Our family uses Covenant Eyes on all computers and phones. The actually searh engine is covenant eyes. For those that do not think these programs are necessary I say this: I travel the school systems teaching a sex education program to all 9th grade students with pornography being one of our biggest topics. Porn is one of the largest struggles I see young men AND women dabbling in. Please research the effects of dopamine, oxytocin, and vasopressin and how they can actually change the make up of the brain due to looking at erotic images. Porn is damaging to the mind and can cause a extremely addictive behavior. Chemicals in the brain that are released during s pornography experience compare to a real sexual experience.
As a parent of a son, it is our responsibility to guard what our children take in. We plan to use covenant eyes on all our technology and also have a no technology in room rule.

You should help him find a healthy outlet for that kind of talent. That right there is just plain impressive.

He has a talent for critical thinking, mechanics, and logic that I think I did a little too good of a job encouraging and developing. LOL He's been taking doorknobs off and putting them back together to get through locked doors since he was 5. that was just the beginning.
