Perry Ga charges $30.00 30amp; $45.00 50amp, per night.....and then depending on the show...add $5.00 to each.....I am guessing that goes to the show producer........maybe...

Then depending on the producer stalls can range from $100.00 (NoBulls Finals), (NBHA Triple Crown), to $140.00 (NBHA World Show

Jacksonville Equestrian Center RV hookups $40.00 per night.....

stalls $70 (NBHA) $90 (NoBulls

But the stalls are only $45 for two nights at Perry for a cutting..............................

I would think that if cutting was less, they are making it up in an entry fee or somewhere else.

It is like taxes, you pay it somewhere.

Cutting is more expensive for their entry fees. But the payout is greater too. But the NBHA also says the facility sets their stall rates. That isn’t true in my opinion.

What bothers me is when stalls and hookup charges are the same or more than your entry fees!

The price of stalls will determine the number of horses I take.. I usually try to run my generator if at all possible just to save on that cost, the gas to fill it is usually cheaper than the hookup cost in most cases.

I agree 100% with this!!!! If I could enter another horse for what stalls and hookups cost, I probably won't enter that race. Or see about putting up my panels and running the generator.

Perry stall rate is $50.00..what we have seen when "we" host the Georgia Federation Show....then the producer adds what they want.....

All of the above are high to me.

What would you consider reasonable then?

$60 or $70 covers all 3 days of the weekend would be fine.  $60+ per night is too high.

Also, events that charge a flat fee wether you stay 1 night or a week are a pain.  Had one event this past year where stalls/ and RV would have cost us $270 for 8hrs..... We ran the generator and horse stayed in the trailer.  Won the event and got a $750 check.  Throw in entry fees, office fees, etc.  Hard to justify paying that much for stalls.  I know stalls and rv are like drinks at a restaurants....easy way to make some $$$.

We pay 25.00 a night at Lucky Dog shows. So I pay 50.00 for a 3 days show.  They have the best run shows!!!

$50-$60 is the going rate around us for Friday-Sunday.  I don’t like it, but we aren’t allowed to tie out most places unless the stalls sell out and that only happens 1 or 2 shows a year.

I have started to run my generator more because I don’t have to park on top of someone in a campground and I can leave my horses tied out all day instead of cooped up in a stinky barn with low air flow if the weather is fit.  I will buy a hookup at a handful of places where they are more setup for horses (though camping in top of your neighbors period sucks) if it’s July and going to be 100* so I can run the AC full blast without worrying about overheating the gen.  I think camping runs like $25/night most places.

Don’t accept “going rate” when one producer decides.  Don’t go. Check the facility rates for other events. I guarantee you that the ropers coming in the following weekend are not paying the same rate. Quit throwing your money around and away. Support the reasonable producers.

way to high, many will come but haul off to an auction house for $10 bucks a night and use a generator and have piece an quiet and no trolls to steal saddle or horses and like a single person like me I wont go even if my horse can out clock most of those that show up. you actually lose a ton of competitors to the big show, but I guess you can only run so many in a day.

I live in Kentucky. I run in the surrounding states.....mainly Indiana, Ohio, & Tennessee. I pay between $45 - $60 for 3 days & 2 nights for my stalls & usually $50 - $60 for my hook ups depending on where I go.  The bigger the show the more I expect to pay.
