Neat Freak Posts: 11216 Location: Wonderful Wyoming	We had beautiful weather and I decided to turn him out to pasture here by the house. I think it is about 100 acres and I can keep an eye on him and still be able to get him in during the day for his feed. He LOVED it!! I think it was last fall the last time he had pature time as I started to blanket and put him under lights in Feb to prepare for our show season. He ran, bucked, kicked, stopped hard and took off the other direction several times. Not a bit of trouble knowing where his feet were. Of course he thinks he is really tearing it up...but he is soooo sloooowwwww. His extention was beautiful. I can't wait to get his hocks checked out and get him feeling really good. He has some muscle loss over his hips since this whole ordeal started with the stiff neck. It bugs me but the vet was positive he would fill in and look like a million bucks again once we addressed whatever is causing his pain issues-hocks and lumbar. His neck seems to be normal (to my untrained eye anyways). I have been stretching him with treats 2-3 times a day and he can reach his ribs and back towards his flanks as well as eat them off the ground.

I have been wanting to do that from the start just to give him some "horse" time but was worried if he was truly neurological like the first vet thought, he may injure himself and and then the insurance would flush our policy down the tube. I also wanted to have a vet/chiro look at him a couple weeks after he was diagnosed with wobblers, but the diagnosing vet said it was against his recommendation and he'd have to turn it into my insurance as such...all this after I asked him to forward xrays to the chiro-vet. So I didin't do it. And I do understand his reasoning due to the severity of the diagnosis. However had we done that earlier, he would be leaps and bounds improved in his neck WAY back when. We all believe the bending and flexing of his neck while he was under for the myelogram did the trick and relieved whatever tension he must have had. So this morning he and the super old pony were waiting around wanting their mush. He looked like had a wonderful night in pasture and didn't do anything stupid (the whole make good choices while you are out kind of thing ) so I will continue to let him just be a horse. Neat Freak Posts: 11216 Location: Wonderful Wyoming	Well I will tell you one thing I learned, even when you get the worst diagnosis and all hope looks bleak, get a 2nd opinion. I would have never had the 2nd opinion other than the place that took teh orgional xrays and diagnosed him with wobblers was having trouble with the x ray machine. They kept canceling my appts because they didn't want to get him put under and then not have the x ray machine work. So finally I got tired of the wait and took their referral to CSU. I went down crying and hugging him thinking that moment was the last time I would see him alive. When she called during the procedure and said there was no compression I was shocked...and still upset because he was pretty off when I dropped him off. The trailer ride seemed to make whatever issues he had going on, even worse. Lots of diagnostics later and he seemed to improve daily. So...we wait and hope he is on the mend

This is our video Nov Am Showmanship at an AQHA class at one of the bigger shows in our region. We had a top 10 out of 18.
