| Pro Riders are the BOMB. Their trees are made by the same company that makes the ones that go in Triple Creek saddles. I don't think that's a big deal, but there's your free fun fact! You can buy a super fancy PR for the same price as the plainest TC... They are super comfortable saddles and I started my 2yo in mine last year. They sit you deep, but you can get up and go, too.. I won't lie, Triplr Creeks are slightly higher quality, but not by much. Pro Riders are amazing working and using saddles. You get far more than you pay for. |

| Corrientes saddles are great. Won one in '02 and in '12. They fit a variety of horses well. Price is just $450 not stamped, and I believe $50 for shipping. Look on http://www.corrientesaddles.com. |

| The few corriente's I've seen I did not like at all. However I really like the pro riders. The quality is great and they are really comfy. Also they are one of the very very few saddles that actually fit my difficult gelding. |

| Pro Rider saddles are fantastic.........they fit a horse well, and such a balanced ride. BAsic saddle is very inexpensive, and if you have the cash, you can upgrade the leather, which makes quite a difference. No one in the industry has the exact same tree as they do........even though several makers get their trees from the same company, the pro rider tree is exclusive to them.........I was told this by the manufacturer of the trees themselves. |

I have never had an issue with it and have used it on several different horses. I use it for everything.
Circle Y's are way over priced for what they are. They want top dollar (many list for almost and over $2,000.) and when people go to sell them they lose on the average over $700.00 for a saddle that is about a year old.
My point is...if you go with a Circle Y buy used..LOL Thanks, I have not priced saddles in a long time. I bought this saddle back in 2003 or 2005, so it has miles on it. Just like our cars, I never look at the new, just the used. Hang on to yours as they don't make them like that anymore. They use to be a really nice made saddle.
I bought a 3 year old JBN that was suppose to be in excellent shape. It was the biggest piece of junk and the tree was crooked. You could see how the piece that goes in front and under the fender was real worn on side and not the other. I sent it back and it was the first time I have ever sent a saddle back and I've owned too many saddles to count. In 1976 I got a youth Circle Y saddle for my birthday from my daddy. Everytime we went to the tack shop I'd go sit on that saddle on display drooling over it. Low and behold a few months later it was in our living room with a bow on it. I rode the crap out of that saddle as a little girl, both my kids rode the heck out of it and it's now used on colts and waiting for grand kids to arrive and use it. Hopefully thats not for a while. They definately don't make then like they used to. You can't beat the construction and leather on mine. I would love a Lisa Lockhart but am a little leary of the quality. JMO. I picked up a 1984 Circle Y cutting/reining saddle recently. Cleaned and oiled it and it definitely needs more oil, but it's in great shape. Can't wait to ride in it!
Sounds nice! Thankfully my dad was smart enough to buy a saddle big enough that it would last me. It has a 13 or 14" youth seat so I can still ride in it as long as my butt don't grow. LOL |

Location: Montana | Thanks guys! Komet: If you have ever tried to ride my horse bareback, you would understand. She has the choppiest trot of any horse I have rode, and I will literally slide off the side of her if I don't get her slowed down in time. Ha-ha. |

I've only seen the Corrientes in the 5 inch cantle version. So I have no idea if they offer a 4 inch option.
That's why I prefer the Pro Riders. I like a 4 inch cantle better, & the square front works better for me personally. |
