Location: Where the pavement ends and the West begins Utah | Not any magnet will work. the kind you get at walmart are just plain magnets. therapy have polarization at a higher frequency, if you google how therapy magnets are made you'll get a slug of information that will explain how they really work. yes they do work. my mare had pottamic fever and down for the count. I put the boots and hocks on her, she started to make a come back. |

Location: OK | I didn't believe in magnets but I had a horse with a hock fracture. His hock was the size of a volley ball. We had to keep him still to heal, and he likes to buck in his stall, so I was scared to give him any pain meds for that reason. So, with nothing to lose, I grabbed these magnetic bells that were a prize from a barrel race that we had thrown in the tack room and never used and I put both of them on the back foot. When I came back the next day, that hock was nearly normal sized. I couldn't believe it. I started studying magnets and called some manufacturers and now I'm a Benefab dealer and user. I still keep an open mind; I just try them on different things and monitor the reaction.
They don't always work on everything. Sometimes it takes prolonged use.
The horse I'm talking about made a full recovery, still competes, still bucks when I turn him out, and I'm using an oral joint supplement that I carry in my store and Benefab. That's it. I haven't injected in awhile and I don't know that I will have to.
Hope this helps. |

Location: Alberta, Canada | I was skeptical about magnets as well. I did bunch of research and read review after review on magnacu and pht. Decided to pick up a used one.
a month ago our 24 year old, arthritic gelding got himself in a wreck and had to be on stall rest for a week. I was REALLY worried because it was well below freezing and he struggles to get around on a good day.
I put the magnacu on him in his stall. He was stalled up for 24 hours without even a hand walk because we wanted the stitches to settle in his chest.
When I did take him for a walk on day 2, he walked out SOUNDER than he went in. There was also NO swelling in his chest where the stitches were and the wound was clean and healing faster than I could have imagined.
That's all it took. Whatever that blanket did, it worked.
Ive actually sold most of my back on track and am slowly replacing it with magnacu as all of my horses seem to prefer it. They relax right away when I put the magnets on them. |

| I've tried the magnetic hood, sheet, poll packs, wraps. For me, it's kind of like the old X-Files poster in Mulder's office "I Want To Believe"... but for some reason I just can't. |

More than likely it would have happened with any type hock wrap Some horses feel trapped and for these type of horses I advise 1) know your horse 2) put one on at a time ?? |

| I do not own a magnetic blanket due to the price but I did put a friends on my horse and within minutes he was licking his lips and stretching so it was doing something. I have the BOT mesh blanket, bell boots and leg wraps. I do not use the blanket much due to the fact that I keep horses turned out. I do use the leg wraps however to trailer and when I have one that has stocked up and it works great. I won a saddle pad liner I actually use it on my bed to sleep on and it does wonders for my back. My hips started hurting last week and I slept on it and have felt no pain during the night anymore. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | Every person and animal is different and what works for one sometimes doesn't work for another. I love using the PHT mags on my horse and myself and I feel the results on myself and feel how my horse moves out smoother after having the blanket on. You do need to know your horse. My sister bought a new horse that is a dead head at home but gets anxious and chargey at the gate. She now puts the PHT blanket before she puts him in the trailer and leaves it on until she saddles up. She's thrilled about him being so much more relaxed. Now I can't do that with my horse as he gets too relaxed and doesn't fire so his blanket time is after I run.
I tried the BOT knee wrap and within 10 minutes my leg was throbbing. The BOT shirt did nothing for my husband or myself but the Tommie Copper helps us and it is what I use on my knee. It doesn't give support but it sure takes the pain out. I know many people that love the BOT shirts etc. So you use what works for you. |

In general, the science is very soft when it comes to magnets. That doesn't mean they don't work. It just means that it hasn't been proven conclusively yet.

Location: Cocoa, Florida | I whole heardetly believe that since I've been using the BOT wraps and hock boots on an older gelding I ride that I can see a big difference in his turns. He's sitting harder and using his hind end like he should. I started doing the BOT stuff and injectable glucosamine on him at the same time and I belive both have helped tremendously. I use the bot wraps on my colt as well when I travel, I however, will not pay the higher amount for the PHTs, I think my bots work just fine, if someone can pRove it makes a significant difference from bot to pht then maybe.... but how can you prove it? |

They can prove it the same way you just did with your BOT testimony - by THEIR experience. These are two differnt therapies and I suspect that the reason you're horse is working better is probably because of the glucosamine. |

Location: in the ozone | I won a Professional Choice magnetic blanket awhile back & really liked it and think my horses do too. They seem more relaxed and licking when one has it on. I'm going to order another one so each has one now. |

Location: Eastern Kansas | Love my PHT blanket. I bought it over 10 yrs ago and have used it on several different horses. Each horse became more relaxed and much happier. One gelding was too relaxed and would not run if I put it on him before the race. He got it after the race and I didn't have any trouble with him getting body sore. The blanket also calmed one down that would get hot at a race so he got the blanket put on a few hours before the race. It just depends on the horse. You need to do your research. I won't buy anything other than the PHT products.
I've had no luck with BOT but many people swear by them. Just my opinion. |

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I fully believe and have seen them first hand work on my own horses and others. I however DO NOT like BOT. it did not work for my boys and i do not like the way the therapy works. i dont believe in putting heat back INTO a horse when its already sore. I love how the PHT/MagnaCu works and believe they are well worth the money. Especially because they are handmade here in the U.S.A.! My barrel horse just started going sore in his hocks and a friend let me borrow her hock boots and within 15 mins i could see the sweat from the magnets working, along with the improvment in his run. But, As we all know with horses YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! ill gladly spend the extra money on the PHT over anything else. |

I tried to put BOT hock boots on one of my mares. She freaked out, then refused to move her back legs. Some horses hate them, because they feel restricted and confined.
