Looking at some foals by "Onanotherhigh" by On a High. I know the sire is only half the gene pool and grandsire has even less but I was just curious what people who have experience with these horses have to say about them? What are they like temperament wise generally, size wise when mature, typical running style etc just any detail about your experience with them. Good, bad ugly etc if your experience was not a good one please say what it was about them that you didnt like or didnt work for you. I know everyone is different and my perfect horse may be your night mare haha.... I do also of course realize every horse is an individual and should be looked at as such but would like to get an idea of what some common experiences may be.

I have never had any OnAnotherHigh's but I have a daughter of On A High and she is absolutely fabulous in every way. She is like the perfect horse.
I also had a granddaughter by Judy's Lineage and I hated her in every way, so I guess I'm not much help. LOL!

I know quite a bit about him. We were friends with the Daniels when he stood here in WY. Daniels collected our stallion a couple times when he had an injury. "Nuthers" babies for the most part were gentle and easy going. They were TALL, most over 15.3, 16+ as 2yr olds. Seemed to me they were late maturing. Not exactly mentally, but had all those legs to get to moving. I saw some run barrels and they were very precise, but not a bit fast. Could have been the trainer/riders. One gal ran at the 5state on a big black horse and it was a picture perfect pattern and about 2 seconds off. Since they were big, they had a big stride which made them look slower than they were. I know there were some money winners, but nothing to make him a nationally known sire. Over all I liked them, just don't think they got into the right hands.

I have a daughter by him out of a Royal Quick Dash Mare. She is extremely smart and laid back. I broke her and have started her on barrels. She is naturally very collected and really uses her hindquarters. Has a huge stop on her
(I am planning on roping off of her also
) I usually only have to show her once or twice and she picks up on thing immediately. She was quick to pick up the pattern and when I showed her that's what she did. She has no problem with speed when I ask her and very willing to give as much as I want. I guess I could go on and on about her. Out of all my colts I would have to say she is one of my favorites. I really have nothing to say bad about her..
There are also a few of his babies running barrels here in Wy. and they usually can make mistakes and still clock.
Have to add: Mine is 15.1 maybe 15.2 she is big boned and built more like a roping horse. I know a lot of them are leggy. I just started hauling her so haven't put her on the clock yet.
