Does anyone have any tips? I have a 3 year old gelding I think I would like to try at the futurities. I've never done it so I can use all the helpful advise I can get. Thanks!

Haul your colt and do time only's to get him to as many arenas and set ups as possible. The more arenas you get him in the better off your going to be.

Bump.
At this point how far along do you expect them to be? What kind of drills and/or exercises do you do with them? Do you ride them everyday?

I haul my young ones with me to pretty much all the rodeos i go to. Even if i am not running or exhibition them i like getting them out and will pony or ride them in open arenas. Its better to haul them before you expect to run them they will be used to set-ups and crowds and when it comes time to compete they are much more focused and ready.
