My New LQ trailer is on its way home..
Location: Post Falls, ID
Thanks to all who helped me with my questions. My new 4 horse, 8' wide with mangers is almost home. Never owned a LQ before. What are some must knows about them? It has a rear tack, not sealed. Im a little concerned about leaving my tack/saddles in there throughout the year. I was able to leave my saddles and things in my other trailer because the side tack was sealed.. Does anyone leave tack in there or do you always unload everything?

If concerned about the collapsable tack leaking, putting "draft stop" on the walls and floor spaces between the floor and rear doors will stop about anything from getting into the tack room. Any home improvement store has it. It is about 3-4" of flexible rubber attached to the walls that fold up. I attach with 1" aluminum screws using a 1/4"x1" strip of aluminum flat stock acting as reinforcement. A screw every 6" will hold it for ever. It is shaped like an L--the small lip is what you screw thru into the tack room walls. The wide lip will than butt up against the doors or floor.
I also used 1" window sealant foam with the sticky back between the folding panels.
Depends if we leave stuff in there on the time, outside storage and/if trailer is closed up.
Good luck!

I leave my tack in the trailer. It stays cleaner and dryer than in my barn. The only safer place is in the house, so we do put the show stuff in the house. I love my LQ. I will warn you to winterize it early to prevent broken water lines! I was too late this year and now am dealing with repairs.

Here's one my hubby learned the hard way: when adapting your cord to plug into a regular 10 amp outlet, do not try to run the a/c and microwave at the same time.
