My new pony is 17 years old, he is healthy, looks good, no sound issues, nothing. Nevertheless, I was wondering if I should start considering giving him some supplements or should I just leave it alone? I am very skeptical about doing anything that is NOT natural to the horse but with a horse this age that is working maybe I should be more proactive... what do you guys think? (Let me add this is the first time that I"ve ever bought a trained horse....so so nice )

I'm a proactive person so I don't see why not starting him on something. Just something simple, like for maintenance.  I would look for an complete supplement that as electorlytes, vitamins and amino acids. Kind of like a multi-vitamin but for horses.

Yes I would start on a multi-vitamin and joint supplement. His age is about the time they don't keep making enough as much in their system. While being used he is burning off all those nutrients.
