saddle fit question

Hi, I'm hoping to get some opinions as I'm sort of green to saddle fit. I have a flat backed mare, that's somewhat broad shouldered but yet a wither. The saddle I just bought is a wider fit, and I've noticed after I take my sweaty saddle blanket off I have dry spots about the size of a softball at or just below the withers :
( Can someone tell me what this means? It doesn't look at all to be pinching her? I don't have any good experts near me to help me out. Thanks!!

Can you post some pictures?
You want even pressure the whole down down the bars. Chances are the dry spots are because she's got a little muscle atrophy. My guy has them too and we're working to build his back muscles up. My understanding is that large dry spots don't always mean something is wrong, but can. Is she sore at all down her back on either side of her spine?
Pictures of the saddle from different angles on her with and without a pad will help folks

I don't have pics, somehow I'm not sure how to get them on here from my phone? ugg..well, she's not sore throughout the back, but I did just have her hocks done, she needs them for sure once a year, if not twice. I was thinking she should have no dry spots at all under a wet blanket? She doesn't have a big slope or deep drop at the withers. She's pretty even backed.

My guess is the saddle has too much rock in it, you may need to get a saddle with flatter bars.
Crown c you have to special order flat bars
Caldwell has the maxed out or pro max that are supposed to fit these type of horses
Sloan has a b3 saddle that is supposed to fit flat wide shouldered horses.
