I have a friend who is looking for a BIG QH. 16 hh and like 1350-400 lbs. He needs gentle. I know the Hancock/Blue Valentine lines throw them that big. He needs a middle aged gelding that is super gentle. Does anyone know of a particular farm or horse that might suit or any other lines I could recommend?

Does it have to be AQHA?  A lot of draft crosses are that size and very gentle.  My Percheron/Morgan cross I had years ago was 16.2 and over 1400#.  He was the easiest and most honest horse I have ever had.  Rode well, drove single and double and was gorgeous.

He really wants a QH, not a draft. I should note he wants to joust on it.
