Have the opportunity to get into a Deb Renger clinic, but I haven't heard much about her clinics. Who has taken them, thoughts? Likes/Dislikes? Thanks!

I took one of hers last fall. It was great. I recommend going. However if you lack basic horsemanship and you are wanting some of that in a clinic you aren't going to get any at hers.
While Deb has tremendous horsemanship skills it's not her job to teach that. She teaches barrel racing and drills to work your barrel horses to keep them soft and willing.
I tend to over train
(the reiner in me
) and she really helped me to leave my horse alone and let him do his job. Her last words to me after my final run were - 'your horse is broke and knows his job go let him do it and enjoy him'.
There were a few younger gals in the clinic that lacked basic horsemanship not sure how much they got out of it they would have been better with someone like Paul Humphrey.
But I did enjoy it and picked up some tips and drills I use and will continue to use. I say go.

I didn't know she did clinics but I sure would love to go to one! I've always admired her!

I went to one of her clinics. She focus' solely on barrel racing. I took a colt to it and she helped me a lot and the drills she had us do helped tremendously. She has a lot of good advise. There is a lot of one on one time so I found that I was just sitting around a lot while others were going through the drills. Regardless I would love to go to another one of her clinics.
