It seems like the track has all kinds of secrets and remedies for all sorts of conditions. Anyone care to share any cool track tips/remedies?

To pull abscesses I was told from old track trainers Epsom salts and glycerine, this is the only poultice able to pull my mares abscesses out, and I swear I have tried them all.

Did you just pack it and wrap it with a baby diaper?

Packed the foot reinforced with a diaper and change every 2-3 days, it is working better then soaking twice a day, poultice pads, sugar iodine, etc.
