Quick question, the barn I'm boarding at is have a chiropractor DVM out this week. I have never used one, so looking for input. Do you notice a difference? My horse is used for college rodoes and rodeos, jackpots over the summer. Thanks!

Yes, I do see a difference. My gelding holds all his anxiety, nerves in his poll. He had really big "brain"muscles, the muscles on his forehead were really bulging. I had a vet/chiro work on him and the muscles went down, plus the muscles over his atlas also loosened up some. Everytime my daughter comes home, I get her to do his poll and the muscles on his forehead have gone down significantly and the muscles over his atlas are also much softer. I have also gotten worked on by my chiro and suddenly our right lead problem went away. It was me, not him so when it comes up I know I need an adjustment too.
Just wanted to add that he also travels with his head lower and is steadier in his gaits and when I bridle him he puts his head down for me instead of raising his head and trying to walk off.

I would definitely give it a try. I use a guy that does acupressure
(pressure point stuff to release the muscles
) and then adjusts and my horse loves it.

This is kind of my guy with the exception of the bulging forehead muscles. He gets anxious and holds most of it in his poll/atlas joint. Doesn't want me to touch his ear, difficult to bridle, irritable under saddle, high head carriage etc. After an adjustment, he is licking his lips, head held at a more normal place and bridling and touching around the poll is absolutely do=able! I normally have him done twice a year but will do it more if I see the symptons coming back.
