Thoughts on this bit from those that have used it?

With any bit you need to use it a while to find out if it fits you and your horse.  The bit will not train your horse as some sound like it should.

Love, love, love! I transitioned my 3 year old stud over to the train to win bit because he was so soft and responsive to a sniffle but he had a terrible head set and no matter what I did I could not get his head to stay down but this bit worked like a charm. The chain may look severe but it is not tight and just apples pressure when needed.

Absolutely love my "Train To Win" bit. It's a great way to start young horses and it's just as useful in the older horse for tune-ups. Fred's videos are very educational in the proper use of this particular bit.
