I have always wanted to own a paint and show paint shows just as I do AQHA. There is a nice paint mare in my area for sale however I am unsure of her breeding.  Are these decent bloodline for barrel racing?

Thanks so much in advance!

From what I can tell she goes back to foundation bred Quarter Horses. If you like her and see something in her, I say go for it. Every horse deserves a chance.

I'll be honest, nothing in that pedigree excites me. at all.
NOW
That said. I agree with the above tot he point of if the horse is built for it, sound, and you see some athletic potential. THen by all means go for it.
Because animals that are not bred for their intended purpose end up doing well in disciplines they are not meant to compete in.

Yeah, to be honest, her pedigree is mostly no names, and anything "big name" is too far back to matter. I ran a mare who is full of no names though, and she was one of the best horses I ever sat on. Gorgeous, BIG, and built to work. Her lines were just a bunch of ranch stock that never got out of the back 40 in Missouri. She wasn't the fastest, but she was by far the most interesting, best personality, and intelligent and she could hold her own in whatever I wanted to do with her.

If the horse is built nice, has a good work ethic, and the price is right, you might just get a nice horse.
