When you use these bits, do you use a hobble on the bottom to connect the rein rings to keep the bit from flipping up? I've seen some with strings on them and some without, just curious!

Location: In my own little world		I have one that is loosely hobble and one that isn't hobble.  But not because the shank flips up.  I've never had that happen.

I was actually just talking to Dave about this the other day and he told me to add a hobble if I want some outside rein pressure. It will engage the outside shank once the hobble tightens. So if you have horse that needs a little help from the outside it would be a good idea to add a hobble to your bit.
I have never had issues with my Elliott bits flipping.
