I found a decently priced used LQ trailer that I like, but it is 1800 miles away and there is no way I can go pick it up. A private party owns it and cannot do any transport.

Has anyone ever shipped a horse trailer across the country? What are the best options? Prices?

Thanks!

I'm glad you asked this question! I too have found a trailer I love but it is 2019 miles away. I know most will ship for so much a mile but I am wondering if the buyer has to pay the same mileage for the return trip home. How does that work??

Depending on where you are and where the trailer is, you can always try finding a private party heading your way with an empty pickup. I live in ND and bought a trailer from TX last year and was able to find someone heading back my way. Maybe there will be some college rodeo kids heading home for Christmas break, etc.
