How much time off do you give a horse with ulcers? Or do you continue working them if being treated?

Less than a week as per our vet. Horse is treated then put on ulcer preventative. We use Platinum Performance with GI meds

Doesnβt really matter how much time off you give if you donβt fix what caused them in the first place. But if you have a horse with grade 3 painful ulcers itβs going to take some time to heal them.

All depends on how bad the ulcers are. But like others said, you need to heal them first or youre never going to get rid of the problem.
My guys werent horrible, so i still rode while we were treating but we didnt go anywhere. Just stayed at home so we didnt cause any added stress. Once healed, stuck him on preventative and away we went, back to normal!
