James 5:7-12 Be patient, then brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near. Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The judge is standing at the door! Brothers , as an example of patience in the face of suffering,, thanked the prophets who spoke in the Name of the Lord. As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have see what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. Above all, my brothers, do not swear, not by heaven or earth or by anything else. Let your " YES" be yes and your "NO' no, or you will be condemned.
James is instructing believers how to face life's trails. What do you do when your are hurt, abused or stacked? Our natural tendencies are to retaliate, to return evil for evil, to get back at the person causing the pain. James says that is not the way to respond. RATHER we are to be patient, strengthen our hearts, and not complain. Well, how o we do that? By KEEPING OUR EYES FOCUSED ON GOD and KNOWING He has a plan, a purpose and a reason. Our HOPE is NOT in circumstances but IN Him. And God will judge! Romans 12:17-19 says, " Repay none evil for evil. Have regard for good thing in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written " Vengence is Mine,I will repay" says the Lord. You face your life trials best when you do it HIS WAY.
This morning I am going to oncologist, to deal with this cancer, it is a speed bump in the road of life. God's grace and mercy will prevail.
I KNOW THAT I KNOW, ' ALL IS WELL WITH MY SOUL' my body and mind will follow. V 17 to You,O my Strength, I will sing PRAIE; for God IS MY DEFENSE. My God of Mercy.
Father God, guide me today and ALWAYS to do ALL things that will bring GLORY AND HONOR TO YOU AMEN
FOR IT IS WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
