We will be moving to our new property soon and our horses will be turned out in a large pasture for the winter.

Has anyone had any luck with weatherproof/waterproof blankets, as it does snow?  If so, what brand do you buy?  We do continue to ride our horses in the winter so I would like some protection, but we will not have any shelter until spring next year.

I buy the SmartPak Ultimates, you get 10 years free replacement if one gets ripped. And they'll send you replacement front buckles if a buckle were to break. I'm in central IL and mine live outside and I've never had them get wet under theirs and I've never done any extra waterproofing. And if something happens and the blanket doesnt work, maybe it rubs a raw spot or the horse grows, you can send it back for a full refund of store credit and try a different option. It's seriosuly the best and my blanket shredders haven't figured out how to rip one yet. I was going through 2-3 a season to now I haven't had to buy one in years. I get mine when they have their big sales a couple times a year

I love the Weatherbeetas, 1680denier.  I have some that are 5+ years strong with only minor repairs.  In the WI tundra turned out 24/7.
