Do you know why there are only 2 nails on each side? That's odd to me, unless that was done for a specific reason. Also, how long ago was this hoof shod? If super recent, looks like the farrier didn't rasp the toe down to the shoe like they needed to. With only 2 nails and the overgrowth, looks like someone stepped out of shoeing before they finished. IMO. I have had farriers shoe somewhat like this before, and just not how I like them to look.
Heels are too long and underrun.
If this is farrier's very first time with the horse, it's maybe possible they couldn't make too much change on the first try.
If this is repeat work by the same farrier, then I would be finding a new farrier. It would NOT be acceptable for my horses.
