I stumbled across a beautiful stallion named Earthquake Ike. He looks thick and seems to have a lot of bone.

He sure can get down and cut.. Watched a few videos of him working.

Mr. Shining Gun was hardshipped into Appaloosa papers once he was gelded. He has a large blanket with spots and has been the World's Best Appaloosa winner many, many times.... great all-around horse -- roping, reining, etc.  As you will see, he is AQHA:

So they'd be good and mad when they got there.

Sorry, this was a joke I heard at a rodeo in Las Vegas and I remembered it just now.

I used to run barrels against a girl from Hartner, KS who had a really good Appy.  Her sister went to the NFR and for the life of me I can't remember her name.   I think she rode a Joak stallion.

Was it Suzy that married Jack Pyle?  She was tough!

Angel Rae Miller in FL has Paint Me Dark and her full sister Mother OfAll Dragons. Both super nice App mares. Paint Me Dark has won a ton of futurity money this past year and the Dragon mare had some bad luck to be way up there in the BFA juvenile this week.

Cassy Morgan is raising some nice nice running bred Appys.

She certainly is raising some nice horses!  I keep up with her to follow her horses.  Paint Me Dark is an incredible mare -- she absolutely loves running barrels.

I adore Shotzie and her no tail having self. She is so sweet and takes her job very seriously. Love her.

I have already told my husband I'm going shopping in Cassy's barn late 2021 and he best prepare himself.

Have you seen her Wappazun gelding run?  I think his first out was the BFA Juvenile. He is stunning -- big black with white blanket and is SOOOOO well patterned.  Look out for him in the future!!!

Hopefully, Shotzie will grow a bit more tail as she gets older..... we can hope.  Still, totally love her!!!  :)

I really love a Appy with a nice blanket over the hips, to me this is a classic Appaloosa, I knew a lady back in the late 60's in Alice Texas her name was Katy Davis and she was in her 60's maybe 70's that rode a beautiful App that had a huge blanket over his hips, every where we went we turned heads, I road my little paint shetland pony another friend road her frosted App mare and then we had Miss Katy on her big App Gelding.. Man those were the days..

Yes! Complete dream boat. He should be a poster for ApHC.

And I forgot about Kyndall's Black! She has such a crazy long stride, she doesn't even look like she's running.

Colette Graves was who I was thinking of but I can't remember her sister's name.

Didn't know anyone was crazy enough to marry Jack Pyle.

I believe that her maiden name was Susie Lockwood and she had an awesome little app horse.  Her and Jack would have gotten married in the mid to late 70's but later divorced.

Angel Rae Miller and Shotzie (Paint Me Dark, Appaloosa mare) won the Turkey Run Open by about three-tenths of a second (500 entries). Their run was flawless.

Paint Me Dark, the little Appaloosa that could. A year ago, in this same arena, she won the first go of the futurity and then the average. She had won the BFA Kindergarten futurity a few weeks before but was just starting her futurity year. Now here we are, a year later and she wins the open at the Turkey Run with over 500 entries and against some of the best horses out there. What a futurity year! She’s won 9 futurity races and has earnings over $20k even with being grounded thanks to COVID. She is also finishing in the top 20 of the BFA standings. What a way to end her futurity year! I couldn’t ask for a better trainer and jockey for her than Angel Rae Miller, who loves her like her own. What a team these two are to watch. I’m sad that her futurity year is coming to an end, but I’d say this win is a good indication of great things to come from this gritty little spotted filly with the heart of a lion ??
