I hope this doesn't sound horrible but Lordy I hope mine don't live to be 36.

Β

As long as he's healthy and happy I want him with me. He gave me so very much and I owe him love and care as long as he says he's still enjoying life.

I wish I could do pictures---I love showing him off and folks being shocked when they find out his age!!

Does it have the same consistency of ultium or regular purina sr feed? I'm kinda looking for a softer pellet

The pellets are smaller than regular Sr, and my old guy seems to like that texture better. He also can eat it better than the regular Sr; his is mixed with soaked beet pulp, Platinum Healthy Weight oil, and Platinum CJ. It's really not softer I don't think.

Β Im not sure.. the reg sr is textured .. a soft pellet and mushy.. maybe someone will post.

Thanks! That's what I was trying to ask ... if it was a textured type feed or just a regular pellet. I'm headed to my feed store to see if they even carry it. I buy my purina ultium growth from them for my yearling. I'm feeding my other geldings blue bonnet omega force but it's getting harder and harder to get lately and quite a haul too. Looking for an alternative but kinda wanted a softer textured type feed

From what I've read on the reviews on their website I'm gathering it probably has the same consistency of ultium. One review said people confused it as a "sweet feed" because of the oils in it, which they thought came from massive amounts of molasses but it IS NOT a sweet feed just had that consistency to it. If that's truly the case im all about giving it a shot.

I just picked up a bag today .. They love it ! It's not as soft as the regular senior . Small pellets, beet pulp shreds & the amplify nugget in it. Wasn't dry & wasn't too moist . I'm happy so far with it!

Yes, this. And the bag calls the beet shreds "loose". It is very easy for them to eat.

I picked up a bag yesterday. It was $23.50.... just as described above.. not as moist as ultium or the sr but definitely not a hard pelleted type feed either. Smells good and looks good.. I just tried one horse on it and he seemed to like it. So far so good.
