It is not restricted to republicans or democrats, liberals or conservatives. Someone disagrees and the claws come out. It really detracts from the educational value the threads could serve. Show me one single forum where spirited political debates are devoid of name calling and full of civility. Show me one. There is no such thing. Bullies, snarky remarks, sarcasm......all part of political discourse. If someone is too fragile to handle it, then they should stick to romance novels.
By all means proceed on if you find some pleasure in what you are calling political debate. All I see is a bunch of threads descending into the gutter and all intelligent debate flying out the window in favor of clashing egos. |

I'll repeat my question......show me a forum where there is "civilized" political debate and no name calling, heated discussions, or condescending remarks. You are correct.....the rudeness is "equal opportunity". |

You are right, there is probably not much out there in the way of "civilized" political debate. So does that mean that bad behavior is acceptable because it is the norm in the political arena? I guess that explains why we have the two people we do running for president!!! |

Vickie those are YOUR words, directed at me for calling Obama, Obozo. I gave the FACTS that Bear asked for. Fact check away if you'd like. This thread was friendly until YOU hijacked it and started with the denigrating comments. You couldnt dispute the facts so you pick up on my nickname and did call me ignorant and stupid and then deny it. It's right there in black and white, LOL. This is all very amusing at this point |
