Elite Veteran Posts: 897 Location: East Tennessee	I have a horse that flexes actually over flexes and is very bendy. What is a good bit to help stiffen him up a little? Also he does better with bits that have nose bands but no metal nose bands.

More bootie than waist! Posts: 18425 Location: Riding Crackhead.	My favorites are a Little S hackamore and the Connie Combs Stabilizer bit. You can get the Stabilizer in a 5 or 7" shank. I use the 7" for my frieght trains.

Lady Di Posts: 21556 Location: Oklahoma	A Stivers or an old Josey hack (I don't think they make them anymore, so you would have to find an old one) would be a good hack to stiffen. I also like my Weaver Fast Stop on a too bendy horse, as it gets them more on their hind end and that tends to make them not so bendy.
