I found myself staring blankly at bags last night in the feed aisle lastnight at the local co-op. I've always been a grass hay, straight oats, and a salt block kinda person. But I have a hard keeper now and just basically want to know more to properly feed and supplement my horses. Any books, websites, ect. that you found helpful?

Amazon has many great books,
You just need to make sure the info is current, I like to see the book published in the last 5 years
You need to make sure the author has credentials, I look for dmv, equine nutritionist
You need to make sure the book has references, and has been peer reviewed, and a list of contributing editors

coursera.org has a class listed on equine nutrition. It's just the basics. I took it & it gives you a fairly good idea of what a horse needs.

Library has lots to choose from and can always renew. Barnes and Noble if they don't have it they will get it. Ebay and your best friend. My favorite Feeding To Win.
