| What does it mean to fear The Lord? Unfortunately, far too many people in our world seem to have an attitude about God that is fear based. That is, they are scars to death of Him. They see Him, not as a loving Father who has their best interest in mind, bust as someone who is just waiting to catch them messing up in some area of their life. That is NOT what it means to fear The Lord.
To fear The Lord means we hold Him in awe, reverence, and respect. We understand that He loves us, and because ahe does, He has given us His Word filled with wisdom that will enhance our lives and teach us how to live with purpose and meaning.
In verse Proverbs 19, He tells us that walking in intergrity is one of the most important things we can ever do in life. INTERGRITY means perfect, complete, or blameless. It describes a person who is honest and lives life we should. It is set in contrast with one who is " perverse in his lips". Dishonest or a liar v1
Fearing The Lord, showing reverence and humility before His Word, leads to wise decisions and wisdom in life. I fear Him not because I am continually scared of Him. I fear Him because I know that He loves means has given me a pathway in life. Everything He says to me in His Word is going to lead to life and freedom.
Today , choose life. Walk in intergrity with Him.
Proverbs 19:1Better is the poor who walks in his intergrity, than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool. 2 Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge, and he sins who hasten with his feet.
For it is WITH God all things are possible.
Father God, guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You Amen
