boon Posts: 3	I have two horses that need to be looked at. One with an acutely swollen knee, the other for just maintenance stifle injections. The vet we normally go to does not have any availability. Can someone recommend a good vet within a couple hours of southwest Missouri?

Red Hot Cardinal Fan Posts: 4122	If it's a lameness issue that is not obvious and I think may take some digging, I will go to Dr. Keegan at MU. I'd rather go straight there where I know they will have all the tools to figure out what it is. And knock on wood, I've never had a really high vet bill from there. For regular maintenance, and I know he is also good at lameness in general, I usually go to Dr. White in Sallisaw, OK. It's a bit of a haul but I know several people who use him so it's not too bad when you can split fuel.
