I had my post all typed up but it seems it never posted so I will try again..

Asking for a friend..
She has been looking at a local stallion to breed to her mare but he has a slight pigeon toe on the right front. his legs are straight it just seems to be in the hoof. he has never taken a lame step. It has never affected him in the arena.

Would this be a major red flag?
Is this something that could be passed on to the foal.

Any info that I can pass on to her would be greatly appreciated!

 1. Maybe
2. possibly
3. It would have to be a smoking deal for me to chose a stallion with a defect over others priced the same, bred the same etc. that did not have the defect.

So in essence it's  a personal choice.

Could also be how the horse has been trimmed... bad trimming can make one toe in or out.

There are too many nice studs out there to breed to one that could pass a defect on to my mares foal. Just my opinion.
