Veteran Posts: 102	I bought a Lynn McKenzie Special and I've had it for two days now. I LOVE it for me. It seems to be bridging....is there anything that will fix this or should I just get a different saddle? I rode it the first day with a 7/8inch 5 star and the second day with a CSI. The spine is dry and there are big dry spots on both sides of the wither.

Expert Posts: 5290	Those dry spots are not necessarily indicating a bridging or ill fit saddle. The csi is well vented and the 5 star is designed to wick moisture away from the horse and cool the back. As long as you have BIG dry spots your totally fine. It's when you get the very small sized ones that indicate pressure points. Keep doing what you doing and monitor your horse for back soreness. I bet your fine.

But my main mare has dry spots behind the withers until she gets back in shape. Nothing wrong with pad or saddle, but that is how mine is. Now my younger mare has a little bit of a bulge to her shoulders and I have really good luck with a Prof Choice Charmayne James pad with the built up are behind the withers, and I have nice, even dry spots with that. Veteran Posts: 102	She is in really good shape. She's super fit. She has a narrow wither, bigger shoulder, and built a little downhill. Her butt is higher. Her back isn't real long. I thought for sure the Lynn McKenzie special would fit her but I'm really afraid it is too small.
