"Heck's Coming With Me" Posts: 10797 Location: Kansas	Whitney Handicap.....honestly it was a good race and when Gunrunner came down the stretch I noticed something odd about the end of his tail. It appeared the hair was all twisted with something hanging onto the end of it. When they showed him up close there was indeed a horseshoe firmly tangled in the end of his tail. Go figure..........flew up from the dirt or another horse.

Nut Case Expert Posts: 9305 Location: Tulsa, Ok	Did you notice the groom trying to get the shoe out when he got back to the winner's circle. He finally had to take out his pocket knife and cut it out.

He finally had to take out his pocket knife and cut it out. I saw that. It looked like they might have taken a chunk of his tail out. Those tails don't grow back very fast.
