I have seen big strided powerful cutting mares and tiny, short strided ones so imo, it depends on the mare.

I have one of these exact crosses sitting in my pasture. I bred my mare
(who is by Blue Duck Okie out of a Grays Starlight mare
) to The Red Dasher last spring and had a pretty cool little filly this past April. She is a stout little thing, but can't wait to see what the future holds for her.
My mare is a 1D barrel horse, but is also only 13.3, so I wanted something that had a good solid build but wasn't too big for her either and thought that Raider
(The Red Dasher
) was a perfect cross especially with how phenomal minded he is.
