Started hauling 2nd horse with me.  Now my other horse has this anxiety w/out her and will pull off the trailer.  Now that he knows he can do this it has become a "habit" to him......  Any suggestions on fixing this issue?  Even if tied together when I take her away to ride he does it.  :(

Get a blocker tie ring. A lot of time they panic and pull because they feel trapped.

I would start at home, tie them together in a safe enclosed area, him on the tie ring, and then take her away. Thereโ€™s several different ways to tie the ring so they get varying degrees of resistance so they canโ€™t just walk away, but if they do panic and sit back they arenโ€™t stuck.

Other option would be a patience pole or tree limb - needs to be taller than they are - if they pull back when tied above their head their butt hits the dirt and they canโ€™t do much.

I have one whoโ€™s a reformed/reforming naughty horse. Heโ€™s getting better and has traveled quite a bit with us this summer without much fanfare. I did always make sure I took someone with me at first who could help babysit so he was never truly unattended at the trailer.

Mine pulls the entire leadrope out of the tie rings until he is loose. What works best for him is just to loop the leadrope through the trailer hook without actually tying him. Although, I can't walk away. Ahh, the things we do for our animals. I need to fix this, but its a hassle. He stands stone cold still as long as he's not firm tied.

I had a super nice mare that just occasionally pulled back so I tied some bailing twine and tied her to that.  Worked awesome...........

Hobbles!!!! Hobble them and even if they do pull back they can't go very far very fast.
