What is a good saddle pad for colts (2's and 3's) that won't break the bank? Want something of quality so they do not get sore but don't want to spend $300+ on a 5 Star. 

Are you on Facebook? There is a lot of used tack groups and I mostly buy my used stuff and sometimes new off there. Just have to be careful. And use PayPal. Make them take a pic of your name on paper next to your item. 
I got a used 5 star for 150 and a trophy one never used for $60. If you go new - maybe try prof choice had a steamed wool pad that is supposed to be nice. They are around $120 I think.

There is one FB group for Used 5 Star pads that seems to be heavily monitored for scammers & that is the one I would trust.  I saw one post where someone was trying to scam a person & they got rid of him asap.  I'd look for a good deal on a used one.
