There are quite a few things here.

How old? How tall? How much do you weigh? How active? Estimated body fat percentage? With this info, I can maybe help you figure out what is going on. You can private message me if you like.

Eat less, exercise more is not always the key. You may need to follow the eat more, exercise less mantra. If you are consuming enough calories, then make sure that 80% of them are clean. A body is allowed to reinvent itself during your rest periods. Yes, overtraining can actually make you store fat and lose muscle. Drink plenty of water. Lift weights, and I don't mean girl weights. Heavy weight with 8-10 reps. Muscle keeps your metabolism working even while resting. Make sure that you are sleeping enough. Macro balance is another key to the puzzle that can also help you.

Whatever you do, don't cut calories below 1500 a day based on the info you have provided. You want to make changes that are sustainable for life. One should never be miserable in an effort to reach some number on a scale. The results are temporary at best and then it usually results in gaining back the weight that was lost and more. Eat real whole foods. Eliminate as much junk as possible and find ways to make some of your treats healthier. Watch out for added sugars as they lurk everywhere.

Hopefully this info will help you some. Good luck!

Xyngular "Xyng" has been a life saver here lately! Gives me lots and lots of energy and supresses my appetite!! Its my go to!

http://www.myxyngular.com/nicolereed

Isn't Xyng a multilevel marketing deal? Do you sell this product?
I have reservations about products where it's difficult to find out the actual ingredients. Maybe you can help me out. Anytime I see a diet supplement promoted or advertised that claims to "boost energy" and "eliminate toxins" a red flag goes up. I've visited their site before and I didn't learn a dam thing. Oh it's a beautifully designed web site, but it seems to be full of nothing useful.

Every so often things like this are brought up here. I just feel like I have to add a word of caution. Pills and potients that make outrageous claims of promoting weight loss, adding energy, and "detoxifying" are a scam until proven otherwise.

As anyone can see from this thread, there are as many weight loss diets and exercise programs out there as there are fingerprints.
My advice to anyone would be to start out by going to your doctor to make sure your underlying health is good. Then set a very sensible, realistic, attainable goal. As everyone has suggested, you need to combine exercise with less food. Pick out a realistic exercise program and a realistic diet. I think a long term goal of losing at least 2 lbs a month is very doable for most people. If you stick to your plan and achieve your goal, you can lose 20-25 lbs in a year. By then your diet will be a "lifestyle", and your exercise will simply be a part of your routine.

There are a lot of extreme regimens out there, where you can torture yourself and drop a lot of weight. What usually ends up happening is people rebound and eat like they are going on a 10 day hunt every day, many times winding up even heavier than before.

Moderation and patience is the key.....just like training a colt.

Yes Xyngular is a home based business, yes we have a weight loss platform but they also preach us to about healthier lifestyle.
yes I've lost 92 lbs and 57 inches but it is because of my healthier eating with the assistance of the products.
They are not magic pills as if they had those no one in the world would be overweight or unhealthy.
We also have award winning health and wellness products that are tested every year to the highest of standards.
We have ingredient list of all of our products, that myself and many others have taking to our drs, obgyns, nutritionist etc...
I agree 100% with patience as I didn't gain 200lbs over night and I'm not going to lose it overnight !!!

What's actually IN the product? What is it, exactly, that give you the "energy" they describe? As for those "toxins", my question is which toxins? Can you identify them? How does their product "eliminate toxins"?

So it really is a MLM scheme then? I appreciate your candor.

Three 4 Luck - 2016-09-29 7:01 AM I'm not dieting, but maybe someone here has an explanation for something I've noticed. When I cut down on sugar my weight goes up. When I eat more sugar my weight goes down. This seems backwards???

I would love for someone to answer this question.

I wonder if you aren't accidentally eating more of other foods to "control" your sugar craving while off of it?

it's too bad you can't use tapeworms as a form of wieght control.

you would lose wieght, but you would also problably die so that's sort of a win/lose proposition .

No one has talked about gut health. We worry so much about what's happening in our horses guts, we have them on probiotics and prebotics and this supplement and that to make sure they are feeling good on the inside but when it comes to human health and weight issues we tend to over look it in our selves.

Find your self a good probiotic and get those bugs working better. It helped me so much. Just about every health and wellness company has one, Le-vel, Plexus, Advocare, It Works, that X company I am drawing a blank on. I have used both Plexus's and Advocares probiotics and have been happy with them both. I have also heard Costco has a really great and affordable probiotic as well.

You can use the Health and Wellness systems as a tool but make sure you make an informed choice if you want to go this way. Not all the products are right for all people and you might find you have better results with one than another.

ETA : Omegas are very important for digestion as well. I take one from Advocare. It is plant based so there is no fishy after burps BUT it does taste/smell like RePelex to me.

It's possible. I'm one of those eat when I'm hungry kind of people, and I don't keep track of calories.  But I go back and forth between making healthier choices and falling off the wagon indulging in chocolate and sonic happy hour drinks, and the trend has become evident over time.

Β I agree tracking calories and being real with what you're eating(keep a journal)...even if it might mean going to a dietitian.

Since you are a vegetarian I'm going to suggest reading a book called Crazy Sexy Diet...oh I'm also a fan of lifting weights..definitely done correctly is a fat killer LOL

You could check out IIFYM (if it fits your macros) eating. I eat like that too and will base what I eat that day on what I want to incorporate (cake, ice cream, cake, cookies, cupcakes, doughnuts, cake....) also a good book to read about food/calories/losing weight is Thinner, Leaner, Stronger. A lot of good info in there!!

I'm the resident crossfit crazy-person. I've been doing it for the last 6 months, and I haven't been careful with my eating AT ALL. I've lost weight and size, gained strength, and I'm a lot better rider than I was.
