Good to know where everyone is at!

I just got a 2010 model about three weeks ago. He needs some TLC. I put about fifteen rides on him, he is green broke....

May be a while before he sees a pattern...he first needs to give me his face and his rib cage....he likes to swing his butt out and run through the bit...so we are doing nothing above a trot until I can get control of his body. He needs to build muscle and a better top line anyways.

In the meantime he is scheduled to get his teeth done and go to the chiropractor to make sure he is good to go. I will see what the next three months will bring!!

My 4 year old is slow working great.. adding a little more speed each time. I asked him more than I should have last week and he went in a cruised a pretty great pattern for never being called on. He is hunting the barrels and I think will be a push style horse. Of course after getting to run a little he thinks he is way more advanced that he should. He is so calm and cool though right now. I hope that doesnt change when we start exhibitioning. I plan on hauling him more this summer. He still has come maturity issues.... like not liking to be by himself at the trailer... but that will all come the more he is hauled I guess.

He is also tracking the heel-o-matic and has had worked cows and pastured roped calves some.

I have no idea how to post pics from my mac.. Boyfriend is running a automatic pattern and im teaching him to run finally. I dont have the arena size for him to stretch out so we get to do it at a friends some and exhibitions.  He has developed into Jonettas turn style without being as front endy as her. Hes alot of fun!

Please, please, please send me a link so I can see him go!!!!

This is the colt I mentioned in an earlier post.  He's a 4 YO and we didn't break him until this time last year due to his knees still being wide open as a 2 and him being small.  He had a couple outs on the race track last fall and then came home for the winter.  He's had about 50 days of riding now off the track and he's sure trying to work.   I'm really happy with where he's at right now.

Mine is quite a bit behind of where I'd like her to be..... Life got in the way and we didn't break her till last March.  I started riding her in May, it's been pretty hit or miss.  Traveled a lot for work so she might get worked 10 days, then a week off.  Then riden 2-3 days and a week off.  Started her on barrels in Oct, really slow.  We're just kinda cruisin the pattern.  She has a great big motor, so I want everything really correct before I ask for speed.  Cruised thru the last big race at Stephenville, got a little 5D check in the day money with no exhibitions the first day.  She was a bit less lost the 2nd day and sped up some.  She's really been fun to ride, I swapped departments at work so NO more travel = I can get serious about trying to get her ready for this fall.

Very little bothers her, she's on the lazy side... I conned hubby to rope the track steer on her when I'm gone to help her learn to hurry up and get somewhere.  He's heeled on her out of the box a couple of times and she can break and drag her butt effortlessly.  Never seen a racebred baby slide like she can.
