 Worst.Housekeeper.EVER.
Location: Missouri | These things used to happen to me to, until I had a herd of kids. I had a note on my car once from "T" who was looking forward to seeing more of me.? And, a creepy email at work asking me out, except he forgot I worked with the best IT guys in the world, who could do a quick look up and find that he was a married co-worker. Gross. I emailed him back about his invite and he insisted it was for "bowling club". Nice. Anyway, funny memories when you're old(er) and find out that a Happy Valentines Day is when your hubby hooks up the trailer for you!
PS I'd give them away for sure. Yuck. |

Common Sense and then some
Location: So. California | If the flowers really make you that uncomfortable, turn them into a positive. Take the flowers to a senior center and give them as a valentine to all the ladies there, take them to a hospital and give them to woman who needs a lift me up... Divide up the bouquet and given them to a dozen women who don't have someone to celebrate with today. The possibilities are endless...
When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!!! |

Location: My Own Little World | You guys crack me up lol. I can't say how I'd feel if I got flowers from a married guy. I think I'd not even say a word to him because I wouldn't want him to even have negative attention. I think indifference is a better slap in the face. Anger can sometimes be interpreted as caring. Location: Canada | If there was no note and no indication of who they were from I'd be phoning the florist and asking for the information. You may think they are from the married coworker but maybe they are just from a friend or someone else. Maybe a card was to be included but accidentally got left out with all the VDay rush. When we were younger my best friends and I used to send flowers to whoever was single on VDay - granted it wasn't a dozen red roses but it was a pick me up so maybe that's all this is.
Phone the florist and find out who sent them. You may be fretting over nothing or you may have a more serious issue on your hands. Once you know you can make a decision on what to do.

Location: Northeast Nebraska | grullagirl - 2014-02-13 4:31 PM LRQHS - 2014-02-13 4:25 PM The answer is, "yes, it could get a whole lot worse lol." I know it could but I really do take offense and am a little angry about these flowers. I've known this guy for a long time and he should know me better than to think I'd ever have anything to do with a married man. Hell, I'm not even friendly so I know I'm not giving him the wrong idea
Maybe you should take them to his house and say you must have gotten them by mistake? |

Β I just got flowers delivered to my doorstep...I'm pretty sure they're from a guy I work with occasionally and he's married. I'm thinking it might be him because he ssked for my address this week (said he needed it to send an estimate but he could have just given it to me as I see him fairly often) I have recently started getting Facebook messages from a family friend who's about 18 and have been getting hit on at church by a man who's probably close to my dad's age. I don't know what about me would make any of them think this is ok. I'm 39 and apparently Β more defective than I thought lol.
All this just grosses me out... It was kinda funny and sooo something that would happen to me...I was so excited when I saw the flowers....then life was like "Haha! Just kidding with ya...these are from a married guy you'd never date even if he Β wasn't! "Β
Β This is the only post know the thread I've read. Do you think h could've asked your address for someone else possibly? |

Β This sound like a good plan. You need to know who so you can plan your next step. |

Location: West Tennessee | Ctrygirl14 - 2014-02-14 11:43 AM It not so awesome who you got them from but at least you got something. I haven't even gotten a Happy Valentine's Day text from my husband..
LOL, mine called me whining that he didn't want to go buy candy after work & have to deal with the crowd.......................................................................................................................................... For our daughter.
I told him he was off the hook, I got her a card from us & gave her the money for a movie & dinner with her friends tonight. THEN, I got the sheepish -- "I don't even have a card for you" again, more laughter from me, "well, the only reason I've got one for you is that I was working today & had to call on a couple of Krogers"
This is supposed to make you laugh not be a 'one up you'! :) |
