An infection happens more often then people think when dealimg with the reproductive organs and close to the bowels. it had nothing to do with it being a military hospital. I would go to a military hospital before a civilian. They are going to discharge me hopefully soon. was up this morning, showered, roomates husband brought me starbucks :). Will be on meds amd antibiotics and a strict regemin of checking my temperature very often, and coming back in if it elevates.

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | Last night was rough, I was soooo hot I couldn't sleep, not even on an ice pack. Temp still normal. Wondering if its affects from the medications. I can't remember the last time I had to take oral antibiotics. Physically I do feel much better today. I think I need to get up and get moving though. I've literally been laying still sleeping since friday at 5pm and it's starting to wear on me. I walked a little bit at the hospital and they kept the leg thingies on the whole time. |

Those leg compressors drove me insane. Its so hard to rest in a hospital with all those contraptions on. Were you hot because of temps or was it a hot flash? You can start having those within hours of hysterectomy or it might take days. |

I was on Lupron, medical menopause drug, for a year prior to my surgery. The hot flashes at this exact moment are WAY worse then prior to the surgery, and they definitely played a role in the fever.
Surgeon already said I can start add back therapy if I want to soon since I've basically been in menopause for a while. I know right now I'm perfectly MISERABLE. But I can't tell if it's from the hot flashes or from the laying around since Friday of last week. That's a LONG time for me to me dormant :( I have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow and will ask him. |

I got home yesterday. I'm just oddly exhausted. I'll probably stay home the rest of the week before I try doing much of anything |
