I think this is my first OFF TOPIC post here, but since everyone is talking about Vegas and the NFR, I thought this to be a slightly relevant topic.

What do you consider "fair" tipping for services in Vegas? Cab drivers? Bell boys? Valet? Etc.?

My husband thinks I tip too much, I think he is too cheap. I tip by the job and if they don't do a good one, I don't give a good tip, if they go above and beyond, so is my tip. My husband thinks tips are one size fits all and tips everyone $1-$2 no matter what it is for.

I have been to Vegas many, many times, every year since my husband first made the finals, and I won't show our age by telling y'all how long ago that was. A couple of years ago I had a cab driver take me on the long route to get somewhere thinking he hit the dumb blonde jackpot, haha... he got no tip and I sure told him what I thought. For the most part I think customer service is fairly good in Vegas and believe in tipping those who take their job seriously.

I tip the usual 15% of the total cost - for everything, food service, cab fare, etc. If they go above and beyond the tip increases accordingly.
