I think that's what they called it. When I worked at the track the horses got it from time to time and they all LOVED IT! I never saw how they made it...what do I need, what's its purpose and how do I make it?

I used to fix this for my horse every Saturday morning as a kid (a looong time ago). It had a scoop of bran + a little bit (1/4 scoop ?) sweet feed in it, pour boiling water over it & stir. I added veg oil too sometimes. When I was a little girl I would cut up apples & carrots & add in too. And yes, your horse will love you for it.

Where do I get the bran?
How much do I put in?
Can I use oats instead of sweet feed?

Its Flaky wheat bran. Most feedstores carry it. Just make sure you DO NOT give it daily. Not balaced calcium phosphorous ratio. If you give to much it will rob the horses bones of calcium. I use it to give during times of vaccination and worming just to settle their stomach. Another misconception is that bran is good to keep a colicky horse moving along so they poop. Not true! Bran has no proof to lower bowel transit time.

I wouldn't feed it daily. Maybe every couple weeks sort of as a treat! I know the horses at the track loved it!!
