Rescued horse with trashed knee

I sold a horse couple of yrs and just got her back last week with a severe injury. We thought we were going to have to put her down but talking to 5 different vets 4 of 5 said we could save her. What I want to know is if Back on track knee boot or a pht knee boot would benefit the injury. She has major arthritis, new growth and a bone chip, we are just trying to get her comfortable to be a pasture pet.

I don't have any experience with knee issues, but the BOT hock boots seem to help my older guy stay loose. It's basically like a mild heat that increases circulation.

My stallion injured his knee as a 2yr old and then later totally blew it out at 5. He is going to be 14 this year and doing really well. Our vet said pasture was best for him as it keeps him moving and prevents the arthritis from totally locking it up. So far so good. I am hoping he will last another yr or 2. Last spring he was pretty darn lame, but with some extra TLC and Legend all summer he came back great to be able to pasture breed and so far so good this year. I bet your mare will be OK. Not sure your plans for her, but prayers for you.

I would use the BOT knee wrap. It will speed circulation and healing. A laser would help also.

She already has the arthritis, supposedly she was hit by truck in the pasture/yard almost 6 mths ago. It is still swollen and sore but we started her on steriods and I am wanting to help her as much as possible she was a very nice mare.

I have the knee boots for my suspensory pulled gelding. They seem to help a bit. I'd go with them over magnets.
