Location: NC | Can those of you that have the boots tell me how you determined what size you needed? I know you measure, but I am having a hard time finding a size that fits the length, width, AND length w/ bulbs! I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong. (DUH!) So I know I have to re-measure.
How far up/down in size did some of you have to go in order to get a size? And do they fit snug or have a little room?
Thanks! |

| So first, get your horse on a flat surface - like the cement on a driveway or something like that. Then, put a piece of paper under each hoof and draw around the hoof with a marker. Make sure and include the bulbs and mark where the shoes end or the hoof ends on the ground. Then measure.
I actually had to get a "L" size for a horse a while back and pack the other soft ride on the other hoof with wool to help it fit. He had really wonky feet, was navicular, and just needed alot of help. If you have lots of questions, call them direct!
I had a great experience when they sent me two sets to try and I just returned the set that didn't fit this horse. Just make sure their hooves are super clean before you try the boots on so they can be returned in "new" condition.
Good Luck! |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | I measured at least twice. Use a stubby pencil to get under the bulb. I ordered from SG. The first set I ordered were a wee bit small so she sent me a little bigger set and they worked like a charm. |

Location: NC | I had hubby help me today. We traced the feet, then did a rough estimate on the feet themselves, to make sure it's accurate.
This time I actually got an accurate size!! LOL
Do you need to add anything on size wise for shoes? I know that may sound like a dumb question, but I just want to make sure. |

Awesome!
You won't need to add anything on for shoes unless the reach out further than your horses bulbs (which they technically shouldn't as far as I know) |

Location: NC | Ok. So I have figured out that my guy is sitting right ON a size. He is measuring exactly 4.5 inches in length (without bulbs). He was just shod Tuesday. I have an email out to Soft Ride about this issue I'm having deciding/figuring it out, but what would ya'll do? Get the size 6 that is 4.5 inches long for the orthotic, or move up to the 6 long and get that extra space for them to grow out? |
