Coated Tinsel Wire/Ram Fencing/Centura Fencing

We are getting ready to fence with the coated tinsel wire and as the fence builder is putting in the post he told us that we really need to put springs on the coated wire fence. So when a tree falls it has some "give" to it. Problem is neither Ram or Centura sell springs with the fencing. They suggest the "give" is in the actual wire itself.
Any thoughts? Do we need the springs added into the fencing?

We put springs on our polycoated wire. We purchased our springs and tighteners from Fleet Farm but you can pick them up at any farm supply store.

Thank you! Are you pleased with putting the springs on?

Yes. We have had horses run into it, get tangled, etc. and if something is to give it is the spring which is a super easy fix and all the horses have walked away without even a hair missing! I don't know how the fence would be without the springs so I can't really compare it to anything but I love our fence.
