Okay. I've searched and not found the answer, so I figure I'll just ask!!!
I've just started hauling my horse. We are working out each other's quirks. I feed Oxy Max daily and give Jailbreak GI when hauling. The day after I haul him somewhere, he is very lethargic. Not just tired. I mean doesn't get up except to eat and pee. Lays around allllllllll day. And we aren't running for the world here, if it was a 10 D I still don't think we would get a check!! We are really just going for exposure, exhibitions, loping the pattern.
Now. I will say this horse is very laid back. Lazy. And very dramatic. Has zero pain tolerance. Will go off his feed if he doesn't like certain supplements, etc. he's just "sensitive" overall.
So. I'm wondering ... Should I give some type of recovery paste after hauling? What do you use and recommend? I was told to use more Jailbreak, but I tried that last night and today doesn't seem any better.

It may just be the horse, it may be ulcers. Might try THElectrolytes. They contain 82 trace minerals and elements essential to the body.

I can say first hand, how well the THE Electolytes work as we use them all the time. I bought a case of the people version and mix in water and always have some in the refrigerator.
When I was running, I would use the Equine Syringes on my horse. Works great!

The jail break has the electrolytes and amino acids that he needs. I would also say ulcers, so maybe try treating for that. I've also seen horses lethargic when they are bleeders.
