Has anyone heard of horses not coming back the same after knee injections?
A friend heard some things and cautioned me to research before injecting my geldings knee. He has a bone spur in there.

I have injected a knee for a bone spur and had no adverse reactions. After injected, he was better when flexed but that only lasted about 3 months. He is one that will try no matter what but I retired him as I did not want to inject every 3 months.

I had T-Bo's knee done two years ago and it's still holding up. He has a small spur. He came back amazing and quit trying to cheat me at the second barrel. He still doesn't have as much range of motion in that knee, but he never has. We check it every check up and he has shown us zero lameness or reason to inject it again.

Mine has a fragment that hasn't chipped off yet. He was 3 legged lame before I had his knee injected. Now he is sound, but he has lost some flexibility In the knee. I'm hoping Starting Pentosan will assist....thinking about getting another set of X-rays this fall to see how it's doing. Sucks!!!

I just started Pentosan as well! The flexibility in his knee will be a good test.

I've added MSM to my feed regimen in the interim while I save up the last $150.....it just sucks because I have no idea how it happened! He couldn't have banged it on a panel for all I know.
