Location: OH-IO | HUGE personality....would love to have 10 more! (okay, maybe not ten...bc i have a hard time keeping up with 3 horses and a 10 month old baby lol but you get the point)
She is a work horse...The more work, the happier she is. She has been the fastest learning horse I have ever sat on |

| I adore my Perks Alive gelding! However, he is probably the most high maintenance horse I have ever had. When I first got him he had a tooth issue, from there he got EPM, has something called myofascial syndrome where he has tight muscles all over his body, and spent a year off due to a soft tissue injury. So between all of that…and a death in the family that occurred when he FINALLY had the okay to get going he does not have as many shows under his belt as most horses his age (09 model). In fact, I am just happy he is able to run. Anyways-I have not really lit the world on fire with him, but a trainer I work with thought very highly of him, and toyed with the idea of entering him in some futurities when I first got him, however cancer entered the picture. I am told he can be a “big time” 1D horse, but I am stubborn and have this desire to do it myself with only 4 years of barrel racing experience so as far as hitting the 1D…who knows how long that will take with me as his jockey. Here is a video when I first got him going again after all his issues this past spring and a picture:

Has the most heart and best mind, plus he puts up with all my mistakes. I will seriously cry happy tears the day he hits his full potential. |
