I've been feeding the Pro force Fuel for a while now and love love love it, but thinking of switching to the Pro force Fiber wanting to know some differences.

When I looked at the fiber vs Fuel, it was basically identical (fiber is listed before fuel in each example) except for the vit A which is 5000 vs 4000IU/lb, fiber which is max 16% vs max 10%, calories per # is 1545 vs 1593 and the fiber has no corn vs fuel which has corn. Looking at this, it would seem the Fiber would be the better choice but am I wrong in assuming that? They also both equal 20% NSC just one has a higher percentage in the starch with the other having the higher in the sugar. Everything else is listed the same between the two. Thoughts?

Im not a horse food genius so please someone tell me the difference in what one feed offers and the other doesn't?

I would do Fiber for a senior or a tested positive PSSM, IER etc otherwise I like the Fuel for my barrel horses so far . I tried alfalfa based feeds route.. No energy and feet went bad .. Too expensive to add in things . I only have 3.

My horses did awesome on the Proforce fuel but out here in CA, their feed is made in a plant that also processes medicated cattle feeds. Not sure about the area your from. I switched mine to a whole grain diet and they are doing great. But its a good feed!!! I would say if its not broken I wouldnt fix it.. lol

Reasoning I'm thinking about switching is a gelding I just bought mouth is pretty banged up, and he is having a hard time chewing. I was told the fiber was easy to chew and digest. I had to soak the fuel with beet pulp and get it mushy for him to eat. But regardless I just wanted to know the differences considering the feed Analysis is practically the same.

I have stopped feeding any processed feeds. I would feed renew gold and good Alfalfa. I have started adding Vitalize to my feed. The renew gold is easy to chew and digest.

what did you love about it? Im just curious, as i feed only Nutrena products, but this is the first one i was not impressed with. My horses look thinner which really surprised me. I have always fed the Ultra which seemed to fit my program, but they discontinued, then i fed another which they discontinued so i been on this for about 6 weeks. Just purchased some feed to mix in which was mixed at the mill to mimic to old Ultra.
