I have a 15 1/2 seat that when I got it I really liked. But since running in it, I hate riding in it now. Leaving the second barrel it felt like it was slipping to the right. Now any time I ride in it, loping, it feels like this. I don't know if its my mare who has more of a rough lope. It didn't use to feel like this but since running in it I've became more aware. I've rode in my moms stock saddle and don't have this problem on the same horse. Have any suggestions? Its a fort worth saddlery company brand. Its pretty and nicely made but definetly a cheaper saddle than all the big brand names. Is this common for this brand? I'm a heavier girl but do have good balance in the saddle. I don't know if its my weight because in other saddles I haven't had this problem. I just wanted to get an idea from others who know more about saddles.

Sounds like to me the saddle has a crooked tree.

My colt has pretty flat withers and round backed. My New Circle Y that was made just for him was slipping left all the time. Every 10 minutes I was off and readjusting!!! A friend of mine suggested the Diamond Wool pad with Shims. Had a person help me fit it and shoot sucker doesn't move now!

What is the width of your saddle pad?

I measured and it was a little on a 1inch wide.

I may need to try something like that. I may take it in to a saddle shop and see what they think. Its comfy, but if everything is good with it I may try to sell it for something different. Now that I got it in my head that it feels like in slips to the right, I kind of don't want to run barrels in it.
